Obstacle Ten. Ideations
They think they’ve got plans and I can’t see them. I saw it. I haven’t been sitting here on Feralis’ bed snoring. That’d have been boring. Ya know. Reality is weird enough when you’re dealing with one of them. Just your average multidimensional gosling demon strolling around laying around. I’ve got reach and it’s beyond you okay?
Who dares walk these planes without someone like me to see you. Observe you and interact. It’s a fact I’ll come calling. It’s boring. New stuff is so interesting that I can't help but dip a finger into the mix to see if what’s being made is delicious or not. This is the stuff. I like it. Keep baking. Keep mistaking me for a fool and a tool. I’ve plans and ideations too. Where do they all start? From the Head…
——————-
“I can’t.” Is the thought that enters Corin’s mind as she sits in this chair head slung low. If she were to spill the beans on anything she knows she wouldn’t be believed anyway. It’s kind of a mockery if you ask me. I can’t tell if we’ll get out of this cell or if I’m going to be ground to a pulp but I know I gotta’ push on. Search for something better.
“You can’t?” Ricky inquires. He’s attired in a proper business suit. The galoot. Standing strong before Corin at the door. The man next to him being Roman. A right angle to his masculinity. Together they create a gate blocking Corin’s exit. Mass and muscle. Juxtaposing their nature but all the same in their endeavor. To speak plane they couldn’t be any more different but pinnacle of it they stood. Pinnacle of physical man, indomitable. Muscular. Athletic. Marble would indulge them.
“I can’t” Corin states again. Barely raising her head. Her hair swaying covering her face from their view. “I can’t explain to you how fucking ridiculous all this shit is. I don’t have the time.”
“Yeah okay, so we’re gonna play then?” Roman replies.
“Hey, I didn’t say you could speak.” Ricky barks at Roman.
“Shut up you idiot I’m only here because I have to be.” Roman responds.
“Take that energy and focus it my guy. That’s how we survive. We thrive.” Ricky states as he begins to move closer to Corin. “The boss is looking at that girl right now so we gotta just get a glimpse of this chick real quick and we’re outta here.”
“Yeah, look her over. I’m watching you. Go fucking do your job.” Roman replies flatly.
“Whatever.” Ricky replies as he eyes Corin.
“We need to know how you got in. We need to know who you are and where Tye and Corin are hiding. You kinda look like Corin you’re not related are you? I don’t recall him having a sister.” Ricky rambles on as he walks around her.
“Seems like you just popped up from outer space. You’ve got all his shit on you but your in his place. They did a number and now you’re stuck with us. He’s not somebody to defend.” Ricky states.
This is rich. Corin thinks to themself. Like he could only imagine. I can’t stand it. I’m always caught in these obnoxious situations. Damn that Tye and damn the Lancaster’s. I have enough on my plate they gotta complicate everything always and forever. What did I do to deserve this? I really mean it? Why?
“I’m an elf from the planet Janet.” Corin spits out and chuckles. Which strangely enough turns to a cackle.
Huh, I’m cackling now she thinks to herself.
You’re never by yourself…
Oh great…
She can be heard. She can be seen. She isn’t make believe she just hides behind the scenes. Directing and cuts in to give instruction. So what is it this time?
Like a drop of a dime she licks her lips and smiles with teeth as sharp as daggers. She can’t help it. This scenario is so exotic. Destruction. Obliteration. Oh, it’s touching all her chords. She’s sitting just out of sight from Ricky Larkin and Roman Dynamite. Just between were they sit unseen. Lounging around watching the great show.
But she’s interacting. She’s engaging. That’s supposed to be a no no. Shouldn’t she be getting chased away?
“You’re lucky, this space. This place. Isn’t were you’re supposed to be. So I’m allowed to do anything.” She states her eyes a glow a deep hue of purple black abyss as it twists. Swirling into infinite something. Corin can’t keep her gaze she hangs her head back down again.
“Already giving up are we? Already tired?” Ricky asks as he walks around her.
Not noticing that she in their presence. Or they in her presence. She has not allowed them the courtesy. Even with those eyes they can’t see her.
“They’ve seen it too you know?” She states.
“Seen what?” Corin asks aloud by accident.
“Seen what, what?” Larkin asks.
“These guards. These men. They’ve seen it. You can tell by the gleam in their eyes. You can’t hide it. They wear sunglasses but I see it. They’ve seen it.” She continues
“Nice shades. I wonder what sparkles behind those pretty spectacles.” Corin mutters.
The two stand up straight. They’re interested now. Curiosity peaked. They think there is a leak. Now things have changed.
“Oh shit, the boy really is gonna get it.” Ricky states.
“Hold on. What did you just say?” Roman interjects. Determined to be precise.
“Tell Mr Roman over there that he’s looked on that which beats.” She coos into Corin’s ear. She’s now got her arm wrapped around Corin lounging on her. Corin is terrified but determined to be obstinate in what she suspects is her last moments.
Corin starts to chuckle…
“You’ve has looked on that which beats.” Corin states.
“What did you just fuckin say?!” Roman demands grabbing Corin by the chin. Eyes wide open. His glasses are off and there they are a funnel of blue. Unendingly true. Curse of the Lancaster’s. Romans got their eyes.
“Remember.” She whispers into Corin’s ear. “Remember what you fear and face it.”
“Speak truth to me woman. I will know if you’re lying.” Roman states gazing directly into Corin’s eyes.
Corin can feel the pull of the Lancaster curse. The allure to be led. To tell. to give in. But it’s muted. It’s being dampened.
“That’s right. I’m helping you. I told you I’ve plans and you better perform. Are you ready? Are you awake yet? Are you finally done ignoring me?” She says to Corin. Holding Corin’s face in her hands shaking her face before her. Anger and hurt and sorrow and all of that ripping across her face behind the beaming smile of shark sharp teeth.
“I’m ready.” Corin replies.
“The summoner’s bonds are broken. She’s going to reach out and find you first right now. Find it. Find the heart for me. Bring me the heart.” She states.
“I must bring her the heart.” Corin states as her eyes go black and She dives into her. Possessing her.
Roman can sense something is off. He can’t quite see it. She is too powerful but he can sense something is a miss. Staring into those eyes. Brown suddenly they begin to turn black pit hole. Universe abyss. Staring back. Sucking him in. Magic. Magic.
“They’re doing magic!” Roman screams throwing himself to the floor away from Corin as the room is made undone by forces of wind and gravity pulsing from Corin’s body. Now that she has taken control she has enclosed the room into a boombox system stereo and as the waves go bouncing so do the men and everything else. It probably will hurt like hell but she’s sure they’ll be fine.
Just in time for.
“Hear me!” Nora calls out to everyone and everything.
She catches it. Muffles it. Only she can hear. Only Corin is to appear. It’s time to blow this joint and find that heart. The Lancaster’s think they’re smart but she’s seen their eyes she knows it’s here. So does the diamond king and anyone else peering into their scene. All the cosmos are ready if they realize what’s at stake. Gotta move fast that time bomb isn’t going to keep Head at bay for long…
